Jim's training philosophy and strong understanding of what makes a successful, well-rounded athlete is based on years of experience as a strength and conditioning specialist, personal trainer, coach and competitive athlete. His functional approach to athletic development is based on training movements, not individual muscles. This results in improved athletic performance, reduced injuries and adaptability to other positions and sports.
Jim holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a member of Mensa, Phi Theta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, as well as several athletic organizations. He has completed four Ironman Triathlons, nineteen marathons, the Birkebeiner XC ski race and over a hundred endurance races including a 2005 National Clydesdale Division Championship in the 25K run.

Frenetic. Frazzled. Fatigued. Who has time for energy and fitness? You do! You just need a coach who shares your busy lifestyle and will design a program that delivers results.
Karen is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Body Training Systems Group Centergy Certified Instructor (pending). She's also a Mom to two pre-teens and one aging Labrador; wife, daughter, sister; sole proprietor of a communications consulting firm; avid vegetable gardener; and reality TV junkie. She's usually among the loudest parents on the sidelines at her kids' sporting events. She knows what it means to be overscheduled and to carve out personal time from a long list of priorities.
Karen's coaching style incorporates a mother's sensibility, busy woman's practicality, and her enthusiasm with the latest fitness research and training protocols to drive results that you can see and feel in three sessions per week.
That focus on results served Karen well during her 25-year career as an award-winning strategic communications professional. In 2001, she launched Bridge Strategic Communications, Inc., and quickly landed a diverse portfolio of clients including AT&T, HSBC, The Solo Cup Company, Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation, Kanbay, University of Phoenix Chicagoland Campus, Cable & Wireless, the Village of Arlington Heights, Executive Coaching Connections,LLC, and the Internet Service Providers Business Forum.
